Everyone needs a ‘financial coach’, a trusted advisor to help them set up their ‘game plan’ and measure their progress towards their goals and to hold them accountable to their dreams.

Rob understands the unique challenges facing today’s business owners and has developed a proven method that provides his clients with laser focus on their personal financial planning, helping business owners develop structures and strategies to unlock their wealth from their business.

As a busy father of four children, Rob has established a reputation as a leader in Rotary and as the past President of the Ontario Basketball Association, a position he held as a volunteer for a decade. Currently, Rob is focussing his attention to Canada Basketball as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, helping them fulfill a dream of a Gold medal at the Olympics for Canada.

When Rob is not in his office or volunteering his time on the basketball court coaching or in a Boardroom, you can find him cruising the Caledon hills on his motorcycle.

Paul Stokes

CFP®
Certified Financial Planner®

Paul began his career in the financial services industry more than 20 years ago at one of the major banks and knew the financial services industry was where he wanted to be.  When the opportunity to work with Mowbray Wright Financial was offered, he recognized quickly it was the perfect place to help make a difference in people's lives.  He has not looked back.

After achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 2005, Paul employs a highly personal approach to financial planning that helps his clients act their way to financial success by using their financial resources in the most efficient way possible.  He helps them understand a family cannot react to their way to financial success and helps them create a plan they can implement and act on it - regardless of the fads or fears of the moment – to achieve the goals they have for themselves and their family.

Using a cautious approach, Paul assists people to protect themselves from life events in the most efficient way and invest in the things that will help achieve goals, such as early retirement or the education of children.

Paul was the host of a live television show for 2 years, focusing on various financial planning topics.  A lifelong fan of hockey, he just ‘retired’ from his second career of 17 years as a minor hockey referee in the GTHL.  Paul and his wife, Melissa, and their daughters, Abigail and Meredith, are active residents of the Etobicoke community, where they have lived for over 25 years.

Chris Penman

Financial Planner

Chris started his career with and has been a valued member of the Mowbray, Wright Financial team for 25 years.  A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Chris continued further industry studies, completing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation in 1998, and he has been the acting Branch Manager since completing additional regulatory courses in 2001.

Chris has dedicated himself to the Mowbray, Wright team, helping the firm’s clients to create and enhance their personal wealth by continually striving to provide the best in financial advice, products and services. Chris has been a financial advisor for his own clients, as well as helping other advisors at MWFI provide advice on Investment Planning; Insurance Planning; Tax Planning; Retirement Planning; Estate Planning; Intergenerational Wealth Transfer Planning; and Educational Savings Planning. Working with a network of highly skilled professionals in the GTA, he is dedicated to providing high-quality advice and integrated wealth management solutions that simplify and enhance the quality of his clients' lives.  Maintaining his conservative discipline, Chris strives to first protect & then grow his clients’ hard-earned financial assets with personally tailored investment solutions, tax management strategies, and by helping his clients avoid the classic behavioural investment mistakes.

Having grown up in St. Catharines, where he continues to maintain close ties, he now resides in Oakville, with his wife Jennifer, daughter Sarah, and son Joseph. As a father of two busy children, who will be off to further their studies at University within the next 1-3 years, most of his current ‘free’ time is spent at the local arenas coaching youth hockey.

Our Consultants

Supporting the communities within which we work

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.

Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.

Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our CSR efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!

We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effect of their efforts are always rewarding.
